Angelina Mango wins Sanremo 2024: the final ranking and all the awards

The 74th edition of the Italian Song Festival has ended. The winner of Sanremo 2024 is Angelina Mango, with the song La noia (The boredom), a catchy tune that talks about the emptiness of modern life. The second place went to Mahmood, with Tuta gold (Gold tracksuit), while the third to Ghali, with Casa mi (My home). The critics award was given to Diodato, with Ti muovi (You move).

The final night was watched by over 13 million viewers, with a share of 52.5%, the highest figure in the last 15 years. The Festival was also a success on social media, with over 4 million tweets and 1.5 million interactions on Instagram. Among the most appreciated moments by the audience, there were the interventions of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Måneskin, Mahmood and Diodato, and the performances of the young winners of Sanremo Giovani: Bugo, Madame and Random.

The duo Meta-Stone, who ranked sixth, received a lot of praise from the public and the press. Their song, La vita è bell (Life is beautiful), is a hymn to positivity and hope, inspired by the famous movie by Roberto Benigni.

Angelina Mango will represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, which will be held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, from May 14 to 18. The other participating countries are 40, including the return of Bulgaria, Ukraine and Armenia, and the debut of Kazakhstan and Kosovo. Italy, which won the last edition with Måneskin, is among the favorites for the final victory, along with France, Sweden, Malta and Lithuania.
